The Federal Government has confirmed a new update for all trainers under the FME TVET program. If you’ve already been recruited as a TVET trainer or planning to apply, here’s the latest: you’ll now be paid N30,000 for every student you train. This was officially announced by the Ministry of Education just a few days ago.
Yes, that means trainers will now get N30,000 monthly per trainee, while those undergoing training will also receive N22,500 every month along with starter kits after the program ends.
Let’s break everything down clearly.
Government Confirms Monthly Payment of N30,000 Per Student to Trainers
The Federal Ministry of Education said that the initiative is part of the FG’s broader plan to scale up technical and vocational training across Nigeria. In 2025, the focus will be on getting more artisans, master trainers, and institutions involved—by offering direct financial support.
The program targets:
- Skill Training Centres (STCs)
- Vocational Enterprise Institutions (VEIs)
- Mastercraft Persons (MCPs)
All these groups are invited to register for official accreditation. Once approved, they’ll be eligible to train students and earn N30,000 per month per trainee.
N22,500 Monthly for Trainees + Starter Packs
This isn’t just about supporting trainers. The government also wants to motivate young Nigerians to learn skills that can earn them money quickly. That’s why trainees will get:
- N22,500 monthly stipends
- Starter packs after training
- Access to certified trainers and centers
The goal is to empower more Nigerian youths to become self-reliant, start small businesses, or even get employed faster.
