FG Collaborates with Chocolate City to Grow Creative Industry and SMEs

As Chocolate City celebrates two decades of influence in Nigeria’s entertainment space, the company has partnered with the Federal Government through the Nigeria Destination 2030 initiative to reshape the country’s creative economy.

Paul Okeugo, Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of Chocolate City Group, said the partnership reflects strong support for the government’s ongoing reforms in the creative sector.

“This is not just about performance spaces — it’s about creating jobs,” he explained, highlighting the wide employment opportunities for musicians, sound technicians, event planners, security personnel, and hospitality workers.

The collaboration focuses on growing Nigeria’s creative infrastructure while helping artists protect the rights to their work and creative content.

Since its founding in 2005, Chocolate City has grown into a leading creative enterprise with a presence in music, content development, artist management, publishing, and more. The label has played a major role in the careers of artists like Femi Kuti, Ice Prince, Young Jonn, and Blaqbonez.

This partnership supports the Federal Government’s larger vision of positioning Nigeria as a global hub for art, culture, tourism, and investment by the year 2030.
