The Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMYD) has released the activity schedule for the Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP).
The initiative seeks to empower young farmers, food, and agro-allied entrepreneurs across Nigeria.
The ministry announced that the application window for the programme will close on May 31, 2025.
It stated that after the application deadline, beneficiary account verification will be conducted via YEIDEP’s partner banks from June 1 to June 8, 2025.
“From June 11 to June 30, 2025, selected beneficiaries will collaborate with the ministry to prepare for the programme’s launch, which includes business funding and financial disbursements,” the ministry noted.
“Funds will be distributed to Batch A beneficiaries between July 1 and July 31, 2025. The programme will prioritize youth businesses in agriculture, food, and agro-allied sectors, including livestock farming, staple crop production, food processing, storage/warehousing, packaging, marketing, and distribution of food products,” the ministry confirmed.
The federal government, through the ministry, emphasized that the funding is designated solely for young farmers and entrepreneurs in the food and agro-allied industries. Eligible youths are urged to submit applications before the May 31, 2025 deadline.
