As of May 1, 2025, a total of 4,638,431 Nigerian youths have successfully registered for the Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalization Programme (YEIDEP). The government initiative, which aims to support and empower young people across the country, is still open for new applications until May 31, 2025.
The Ministry in charge of YEIDEP has shared this encouraging update to show how well the program is being received. However, officials are also reminding those who haven’t yet applied that they still have time to register and benefit.
YEIDEP was launched to help reduce unemployment, promote peace, and provide economic help to Nigerian youth, especially those in vulnerable communities. The programme focuses on offering training, mentorship, and financial support to help young people build better lives and stay away from crime and violence.
Why You Should Apply
If you are a Nigerian youth and have not yet registered, this is your chance to join a programme that can change your life. YEIDEP is open to both males and females across all states in Nigeria, and it does not cost anything to apply.
By joining YEIDEP, you can:
- Get trained in different skills or business areas
- Receive support to start your own business or improve an existing one
- Be part of a mentorship programme
- Qualify for financial assistance from the government
According to the Ministry, more applications are welcome before the final deadline of May 31, 2025. After this date, registration will close, and the selection process will begin.
