Lagos, Nigeria – March 28, 2025 – Keystone Bank Limited has commended the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, for their strong efforts in empowering Nigerian youths through the Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalization Program (YEIDEP).
The bank gave this recognition during a solidarity dinner held on Thursday in Lagos to honour the Minister of Youth Development and Comrade Kennedy Iyere, the Coordinator-General of YEIDEP.
According to a statement by Keystone Bank, the event was organized to show appreciation for the minister’s commitment to youth empowerment, job creation, and financial growth for young Nigerians.
Speaking at the event, Nnenna Anyim-Okoro, Executive Director of Keystone Bank, praised President Bola Tinubu for launching YEIDEP and also commended the choice of Comrade Olawande as Minister of Youth Development.
“We appreciate the federal government and the Minister for their continued support in solving youth challenges. At Keystone Bank, we believe financial inclusion is key to youth empowerment,” she said.
She explained that the bank has created a special committee to drive the YEIDEP program and launched a digital platform to help young people open and manage YEIDEP accounts easily.
Anyim-Okoro added that the bank will continue to work with the Ministry of Youth Development on long-term projects that focus on financial inclusion and entrepreneurship for underserved communities, especially in the retail and MSME sectors.
“Keystone Bank is ready to increase our support and use our tools to help more young people achieve their goals,” she added.
In his remarks, Minister Ayodele Olawande spoke about the importance of providing Nigerian youths with the right resources and opportunities. He emphasized the ministry’s focus on building strong partnerships to support and guide young people.
The minister also thanked Keystone Bank for its collaboration and promised more joint efforts to develop and empower Nigerian youths through various programs.
